Bucks Split Double Header Against 3B Barons

The DuBois Bucks won 7-3 in their first game of the year. A strong outing by Alec Greenblat(4) and Broc Weigle(3) kept the Barons to just 3 runs in 7 innings. Greenblat got the win with 8 k’s, 5 walks, 0 hits, 1 run, with 2 errors behind him. Weigle earned the save with 3 k’s, 4 BB, 3 hits, 2 runs, and o errors behind him. The Buck’s offense was led by Alex Pasternak going 3-3 with a double and 2 singles and Hunter Loomis going 2-3 with 2 singles. The bucks fell 3-1 in their second game to the Barons. Sawyer Prince(6) and hunter Loomis(1) held the Barons to just 3 runs, however the Bucks offense was not what it was in game 1 only managing to score 1 run. Prince got the loss with 2 k’s, 1 walk, 3 hits, and 3 runs with 1 error behind him. Loomis came in for the 7th and got 1 strikeout while giving up 2 hits. The Barons starter issued 3 free passes to load the bases in the bottom of the 4th for Justin Smuilk who went down on strikes. Nate Tyler then came up with the bases loaded and 1 out and hit a chopper up the middle to score the Buck’s lone run of the game, but Armamini was forced out at 2nd on the play. The Bucks did not get their first hit until the 6th inning when lance baldensperger singled. This came to be the only hit that the Bucks could produce in game 2. The Bucks will be back in action for game 3 in Altoona on Thursday against Johnston Reality.
